Cascade Lodge Rules

Mission of the Club

Dedicated to upholding a tradition of supporting affordable and accessible year-round mountain experiences centered around our lodge in the spirit of fun and friendship for families, youths, and all mountain enthusiasts.

Members are expected to behave consistent with and supportive of our Club Mission Statement.

  • Bookings must be completed in the online system before moving into a bunk or room.
  • If you cannot access the online system, you must find an empty bunk, fill out the late-sign-up sheet, and have enough money in your account to cover your stay.
  • Members and guests must sleep in the bunk or room they’ve reserved.
  • Move-in and set-up should be completed before 10 PM quiet time.
  • First and last names are required for each member and guest registered.
  • Members and guests should indicate their desire for meals at the time of booking, but at least 2 days in advance.
  • If not booked for the next night, items must be removed from your bunk before 11 AM.
  • No overnight sleeping anywhere outside of dorms and rooms.

  • No skis, boards, ski boots, etc., on the main floor or in bunk areas.
  • All gear and personal belongings should be stored in lockers, cubbies, or other designated areas.
  • Please remove all personal items when leaving the lodge except for your locker contents.
  • Cascade Ski Club is not responsible for personal belongings.

  • Quiet time after 10 PM.
  • No food or drinks in dorms and private rooms.
  • Personal items should be stored in cubbies, and aisles be kept free of clutter.
  • If you move into a private room, you will be charged for it.

  • Only members and guests who have signed up for meals are allowed in the dining room during official lodge meal times.
  • No food or snacks (including Popcorn) are allowed in the Living Room area, except when it is a designated Lodge function or if the Lodge Manager allows for overflow.
  • Member and guest food should be stored in the downstairs refrigerator or other designated areas.
  • Personal food must be removed from the refrigerator when leaving. Any left-behind food will be thrown out each Sunday night, no exceptions.
  • If storing food outside, make sure it's in a hard-shell cooler with a lid or the ravens will get it.
  • No food or drinks in dorms and private rooms.

  • Keep external doors locked and use your key cards for entry.
  • Do not let unknown persons into the lodge, even if they knock on the door. Ask if they are members of the club; if in doubt, notify the manager or a club officer.
  • Report suspected unauthorized persons to the lodge management.

  • Well-mannered children are welcome at the Lodge under the supervision of a parent or other authorized adult. Unattended children (under age 14) are not permitted.
  • Minors (under 18) cannot stay overnight at the lodge unattended without a parent or chaperone.

  • Adults only between 5 and 9 PM.
  • Alcohol consumption on the main level of the lodge only, none allowed downstairs including the TV room. This includes all of Cascade property + the parking lot. No exceptions.
  • Zero tolerance on underage drinking. This will result in loss of lodge membership.

Cascade Ski Club maintains a drug-free environment. The illegal use and possession of controlled substances, including marijuana, is prohibited anywhere on the CSC premises.

  • No Smoking in the lodge.
  • Keep 10 feet away from entrances, exits, and windows that open.
  • Dispose of waste in outside receptacles provided.

Purpose of Video Surveillance
  • Primarily used to record access at building entrances and for the club’s interior office entrance. Also used to provide surveillance of the building’s exterior.
  • Generally not used in areas with an expectation of privacy, such as restrooms or dorm areas.
  • Primary purpose is after-the-fact investigation of crimes, and for enforcing club policies and safety violations.
Management of Video Surveillance
  • The Executive Board of Directors is responsible for management of the system.
  • System is not monitored continuously.
  • Recorded video is used exclusively for the investigation of security and safety incidents.
  • Recordings are not made directly available to employees, members, or the general public. In the event of a crime, parties should make a police report.
  • Recorded video is stored for approximately 30 days.
Electronic Device Use Policy
  • Use of electronic devices is limited to respect personal privacy.
  • This rule extends to all personal and club devices, including, but not limited to, cell phones, tablets, and laptops.
  • Devices are restricted in "private areas" such as dorms, restrooms, and showers.
  • While in the club, personal electronic devices must be off or in silent/mute mode.
Areas of Use and Restricted Use
USE PLACE
Quiet voice conversations Lounge areas, hallways, waxing room, and dining room.
Listening to music, watching video, gaming Anywhere in silent/mute mode, with headphones.
Photography, video/audio recording Never permitted in changing/shower rooms, and dorm room areas including apartments; permitted in other areas for personal use with prior consent.
Reading, emailing, text messaging, internet browsing Anywhere. Use should be restricted after 10:00 PM and before 6:00 AM in the dorms.

Adherence to these rules is mandatory. Unwillingness to follow these rules may result in loss of lodge membership.
